LightCI
Senior Product Designer at LightCI across three client engagements — a CRM chatbot, a telecom marketing AI, and a virtual school's learning platform.

LightCI is a product design and engineering studio. I was the senior product designer across three back-to-back client engagements — CRMagic, Plan AI, and Alpha School — each a separate contract with its own team, problem space, and design system needs.

Three engagements, one design practice
Each contract had its own product surface, but the through-line was the same: come in as the design lead, run discovery, ship a coherent system, and hand off something the in-house team could keep building on.
CRMagic — chatbot design
CRMagic's goal was a chatbot that simplifies customer service interactions while staying engaging and accessible. I inherited a placeholder chatbot draft from a manager on the product team and rebuilt the experience end-to-end.

CRMagic scope
- Full-page chatbot view
- Minimized chatbot view
- Updated UI to match the broader CRMagic visual system

Plan AI — telecom campaign dashboards
Plan AI helps telecom marketers design, analyze, and launch campaigns. I designed two surfaces back-to-back: the Cockpit data-visualization dashboard and the campaign creation workflow.
Cockpit scope
- Senior Product Designer
- Figma + Google Sheets
- 2 months
- Goal — turn complex campaign data into actionable insights
Challenges
Marketers were drowning in fragmented tools and overwhelming datasets. Plan AI needed to consolidate audience targeting, budget forecasting, and ROI projections into a single dashboard, reduce cognitive load, and enable fast iteration.
Dashboard iterations
Early iterations leaned on dropdown-driven charts. Later passes shrunk the KPI cards, added a campaign table directly on the dashboard so users could spin up new campaigns in context, and tightened the styling inside each KPI module.

Marketing campaign creation
Designed an intuitive multi-step workflow guiding users through audience segmentation (using telecom-specific data like subscriber location and usage patterns), budget allocation with predictive spend analysis, and content customization across SMS, email, and push — with AI-driven optimization suggestions at every step.

Alpha School — virtual learning platform
Alpha School is a virtual school with students in Austin and Brownsville TX, Miami FL, and internationally in Ukraine. I led UX as the design lead working alongside a small engineering team to fix a frustrating learning experience.
Alpha School scope
- Lead UX Designer
- 3 developers
- 6 months
The problem
Students struggled to effectively use the StudyReel dashboard and interact with the chatbot to review tests. Navigation was unclear, progress was invisible, and the voice-only chatbot created heavy cognitive load.
Original design analysis
- Poor information hierarchy
- Lack of visual feedback
- User unable to type for chatbot communication
- Chatbot interactions break trust
- Visual hierarchy unclear from color palette

Updated design solutions
Simplified the menu structure with a clearer visual hierarchy, introduced visual progress indicators and achievement metrics, and unified the interface under a consistent design system across all features.

Design system
Established a small but durable design system for the platform — Archivo type scale (H1, H2, H3, body sizes and weights) plus a refined color palette that finally gave the UI a workable hierarchy.

Conclusion & next steps
The redesign addressed the core issues of navigation and progress tracking while laying a foundation — through the design system — for the Alpha School team to keep building on after the engagement wrapped.
